Unisex Art Deco Short Sleeved Barong (Narra Blossom)
Description
Ready-to-Wear
This Unisex Art Deco Short Sleeved Barong, hand-dyed in a deep yellow reminiscent of the Narra Blossom, boasts an epic batok embroidery pattern, meaning the design is not only in the front chest area and extended up towards the shoulders, but it is also across the upper back (in a v-shape) and the upper sleeves.
The first of AlagadNgSining’s Filipino Deco series features the Philippines’ most fragrant ornamental flowers, set on a back drop of a slim cut and fully open button-down modern classic short-sleeved barong. Read more about the inspiration behind this gorgeous embroidery design here.
Due to the fact that this garment is dyed by hand, there may be slight colour variations from photos.

Material and Care Instructions
- This barong is made of jusi (silk / polyester blend), hand-dyed in-house, and hand manipulated machine embroidered on the front, sleeves, and the back, in-house. Each barong is handcrafted by Master Lita and the VINTA Gallery team in our atelier in the Philippines.
- Spot or fully hand wash with mild soap, do not wring. Dry flat not in direct sun. Dry clean only when absolutely necessary, to avoid drying out the silk (this causes the fabric to break and tear). Steaming will cause crinkles, follow with iron on low to medium heat (silk setting).
