Lingling-o with 24" Rolo Chain
The earliest surviving examples of lingling-o, dating back to around 500 BC, were found in Taiwan, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The name lingling-o comes from the Ifugao name for these ornaments.
The lingling-o at present has gained popularity as a symbol of Philippine ancestry and pride, more importantly, fertility and feminine power.
These necklaces are made of 24" gold tone stainless steel rolo chain - it does not tarnish! The lingling-o pendants are hand-cast solid recycled brass 7/8" in diameter. These lingling-o pendants are made and sourced directly from one of the last brass casting families in the Ifugao region. Necklaces are lovingly hand-assembled in Toronto by our creative director, Caroline Mangosing.
