Lingling-o Lariat with Rolo Chain
The earliest surviving examples of lingling-o, dating back to around 500 BC, were found in Taiwan, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The name lingling-o comes from the Ifugao name for these ornaments.
The lingling-o at present has gained popularity as a symbol of Philippine ancestry and pride, more importantly, fertility and feminine power.
These lariats are made of 16" gold tone stainless steel rolo chain, with a 2" drop. The stainless steel chain does not tarnish! The pendants, come in two sizes: small 5/8" in diameter, and the medium is 3/4" in diameter. The pendants are handcast solid recycled brass made by one of the last brass casting families in the Ifugao region, ethically sourced from The Manila Collectible Company. Lariats are assembled in Toronto.
