VINTA's bestselling dress is made with hand-loomed Ifugao textile, ethically sourced directly from Ifugao Nation in Kiangan, Ifugao*. This weave design is called hinulgi, which means ancestor guardians.
This dress is inspired by the bahag, the traditional men's loin cloth, of the Cordilleras region.
Each Ifugao Bahag Dress is handcrafted by Master Lita and the VINTA Gallery team in our atelier in the Philippines.
On Demand Production Explained:
*Weaving for commerce in Kiangan is seasonal. When it's rice planting or harvest time, weaving is not happening. At this time, we only have enough of this gorgeous hand-loomed textile to produce four (4!) bahag dresses! Do not hesitate!
