The Boyfriend Barong is back! This relaxed fit, menswear inspired, women’s barong was originally released in 2017. We are bringing it back with our own exclusive sampaguita garland embroidery design (with coloured thread!) at the front in a V shape and at the back yoke. The national flower on the national garment, makes so much sense, no?

Each Boyfriend Barong is cut, sewn and embroidered by the VINTA Gallery team in our atelier in the Philippines.
Material and Care Instructions
- Natural jusi (silk polyester blend).
- Spot or fully hand wash with mild soap, do not wring. Dry flat not in direct sun. Dry clean only when absolutely necessary, to avoid drying out the silk (this causes the fabric to break and tear). Steaming will cause crinkles, follow with iron on low to medium heat (silk setting).
