The malong is a large, handloomed piece of cloth sewn into tube. It is mutli-purpose, can be worn or used to carry items, even a baby. Primarily worn by Maranao and Maguindanao men and women of southern Philippines. Here we created a skirt with an elasticized waist with pleats built in, lest that wrap come undone when you’re exiting your car, no stress here! One could roll the waist band to bring up the hem, or wear it as a tube dress. Also there’s 2 side seam pockets! Game. Changer. These malongs are handloomed. Southern Philippine royalty vibe.
