Classic Pechera Barong (Neo Classic)

Classic Pechera Barong (Neo Classic)

Ready-to-Wear

The Barong, also known as Barong Tagalog, is a traditional, formal men's shirt from the Philippines. VINTA Barongs are a modern take on a beautiful tradition. The VINTA Classic Pechera Barong is made with jusi (poly-silk blend fabric), hand-dyed in house in a gorgeous silver hue and features the traditional half-open cut, with a new modern silhouette, cut closer to the body. The slim silhouette was achieved by adding an invisible zipper at the side seam to assist with easy pull-over. Please note that more often than not, there will be slight variations in overall colour of each garment, and from garment to garment, because the dying process is done by hand, not by machine. These variations serve as the unique and beautiful patina of coloured VINTA Barongs.

This barong has hand-manipulated Neo Classic embroidery design featuring Palay (rice plant), Ylang-ylang, Tayabak (jade vine) and Sampaguita. Arranged in Classic symmetry to invoke Barong Tagalog embroideries of the past.
